Mrs. Cox says, "I have been thinking today about how wonderful my friends are! I have some really special people who I am so fortunate to have in my life. Did you know that I have a couple of friends who I have been friends with since I was in elementary school? We have grown up together, been in each other's weddings, and now share funny stories about our own children when we get together! It is so important to remember that in order to have good friends; you have to be a good friend. The most special friends are the ones who you may have a disagreement with or not talk to for a little while, but when you finally reconnect everything seems just like it was before. My dad has always told me that if I have 5 good friends by the end of my life then I will have been lucky. I never really understood that until I got a little older. He just means that being a good friend isn't always easy. You have to really think about someone else's feelings and how your decisions may affect them. I would love to hear about some of your special friends. Do you think that you may still be friends with them when you grow up? Please share with me what makes them so special to you. I can't wait to hear all about them!"

Here we are again!
Mrs. Cox says, "We are certainly off to another great year at BGE! I can't believe that this first nine weeks period is already coming to an end already! I am sure that you were surprised to see some teachers moved to a new grade level this school year! Just like you guys, they never stop learning and love to try new things! Please share with me some of your favorite things about your new grade level and teacher. Is your work harder? Do you have more homework? Write back and tell me all about your new class and new friends! I can't wait to hear all about it!"
